  • Lunch with Brazilian President Juscelino Kubitschek.
  • Speech delivered at demonstration called by the Brazilian Union of Secondary School Students (UBES, Portuguese acronym) and the National Students’ Union (UNE, Portuguese acronym).
  • Meeting with student leaders at UNE headquarters.
  • On his second day in Brazil, Fidel reviewed the troops of a Brazilian army unit; had lunch hosted by President Juscelino Kubitschek and spoke with government officials; addressed an outdoor student demonstration organized by the Brazilian Union of Secondary School Students and the National Students’ Union and visited the National Students’ Union headquarters where he spoke with the students.
