A documentary filmed by the Cuban director Roberto Chile about the so-called Special Period facing the Cuban people as a result of the collapse of the socialist bloc and the tightening of the US. Government’s economic blockade.  It reveals the achievements of a people who, together with their maximum leader Fidel Castro Ruz, have been able to stay loyal to their principles and put up a heroic resistance to the most powerful of empires.
