  • Brief speech delivered in Santiago de Cuba, just before he departed to the foothills of Sierra Maestra, together with hundreds of technicians, to start the Agrarian Reform.
  • Speech delivered at a farmers’ mass meeting in Guayabal de Nagua, Manzanillo, an eastern province, where he proclaimed: “We are now going to overthrow the dictatorship of hunger, poverty, ignorance and illiteracy throughout Cuba.”
